The Sool Company is the world’s leading resource for Korean traditional alcohol in English. Founded by Julia Mellor, the first international sool specialist with over a decade of industry experience, The Sool Company strives to educate, connect and promote Korean sool both in Korea and all over the world. Our homebase is in Korea, and we are currently pursuing our international headquarters in the Netherlands.

Our brewery and education space is located in Hyewha-dong in Seoul, where we provide makgeolli brewing & tasting classes, sool experiences and community events to connect those who are curious about quality Korean fermentation. Our classes are regularly open for tourists and residents alike, and we are passionate about giving our guests an experience they will never forget!

In addition to our tours and events in Korea, we offer professional consulting services for clients who aspire to open sool breweries internationally. We have been at the forefront of commercial brewing consulting since 2017, with Hana Makgeolli New York, Gomi Sool London and Rainbrew Seattle as just some of our successes. To support our clients, we offer makgeolli brewing equipment supply services and procurements tailored to each brewery needs.

To continue the mission of international sool development, The Sool Company is also an exporter of soju and traditional Korean liqueurs as well as an importer to the EU. Our carefully curated portfolio showcases some of the highest quality Korea spirits, as well as innovative brands to suit various markets.

The Sool Company is a passionate and experienced team of sool specialists, and we are constantly striving for excellence in our mission of global sool education.
