At The Sowo Group, we believe students are undiscovered, not behind.

Founded in 2014 by Uwingablye Cunningham, The Sowo Group is a New York based Genius Wellness firm serving students from the ninth grade through young adulthood. Our founder’s own experience as a student whose learning needs did not fit the traditional classroom became the foundation for a distinct philosophy: students do not need to be fixed. Their genius just needs to be activated.

We do not tutor. We transform.

Through The Sowo Method, our proprietary framework built on four pillars of Mindfulness, Metacognition, Manifestation, and Mastery, we guide students through the academic and social rigors of adolescence and young adulthood. Our work centers on identity, not just performance. Before we engage with content, we engage with the student. Before strategy, we cultivate self awareness.

For over a decade, we have partnered with families, schools, and community organizations to bring this approach to life, and we have built a deliberate portfolio of resources including our Genius Discovery Workbook Series and our Genius Collective coaching program.

Our work spans three areas:

~Bespoke coaching for students and the parents who support them.

~Institutional partnerships, bringing customized, research backed curriculum into schools and organizations that serve young people.

~Digital products designed for how students actually live and learn.

We remain intentionally selective in how we grow, and we welcome conversations with schools, nonprofits, and institutions seeking a genuinely tailored approach to student development rather than a generic one. Every partnership is shaped around the population it serves, built on real research and over a decade of experience with real families.

This is bigger than grades. This is Genius Wellness.

Discover. Develop. Unlock.
