Jerome Starkey

Jerome Starkey is currently the Defence Editor at The Sun, where they focus on military and defense-related stories. They previously worked as an Afghanistan Correspondent for The Independent from 2007 to 2009 and served as a Print Editor for ISAF from 2006 to 2007. Over the years, Jerome has gained extensive reporting experience in challenging environments, including time as a Foreign Correspondent and photographer in various war zones. Their prior roles also include being a Countryside Correspondent and an Afghanistan and Africa Correspondent for The Times between 2017 and 2019.
