The Sweethearts Foundation is a nationally operating Public Benefit Organisation converting recyclable waste into professionally prescribed, customised wheelchairs.

Through structured partnerships with communities, corporates, Logistics Partners, and Recycling Partners, we operate a scalable circular-economy model that reduces waste going to landfill while delivering measurable mobility outcomes.

Since 2013, more than 600 wheelchairs have been delivered across South Africa. Our model aligns environmental responsibility with social upliftment, creating tangible ESG impact for partners and stakeholders.

Turning waste into freedom of movement.
