John Whitty

John Whitty is the current Chairman at The Technology Group. John has over 20 years of experience in the IT and Communications industry. Prior to their current position, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Air IT from January 2020 to March 2022. During their time at Air IT, they were responsible for aligning technology with business goals and overseeing a full portfolio of services including IT support, backup & business continuity, cloud, telephony, mobiles and broadband and connectivity solutions.

Before joining Air IT, John served as the Managing Director at GCI Com from June 2012 to September 2015. During their time at GCI Com, they were responsible for leading the company through a period of rapid growth and expansion.

John has a proven track record of success in the IT and Communications industry. John is a trusted leader with a passion for helping businesses reach their full potential.

John Whitty has a Master of Science in Data Communications from Brunel University London, a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from The Open University, and a HND in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the Royal School of Signals.
