Ben Farmer

Ben Farmer is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting on international affairs, particularly in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. Currently serving as Africa correspondent for The Telegraph since July 2007, Ben has held various roles including South Asia correspondent, Defence and security correspondent, and Afghanistan correspondent. Prior experience includes working as Pakistan and Afghanistan correspondent for The Economist from December 2018 to September 2022, and earlier positions at The Daily Mail, The Evening Standard, and The Leicester Mercury. Ben's career commenced with roles in digital branding and media research, following a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Oxford.
