The Urban Commons School is dedicated to advancing research and education that help keep essential resources — such as housing, healthcare, water, education, and public space — accessible to all. With a global perspective, we share knowledge and collaborate internationally to promote affordable, equitable, and sustainable cities.

Guided by the belief that home is a fundamental right, the School draws inspiration from successful models like Vienna’s social housing and resident-led planning practices. Our mission is to support communities and policymakers in developing urban systems that ensure no one is excluded from the commons.
