Kevin Davies

Kevin Davies has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Kevin is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at The VOID since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Engineering Team Manager at HireVue from August 2018 to February 2022, overseeing a team focused on automated assessments. Davies also founded Walkabout Worlds, a VR company, in January 2015, where they developed VR-related software and a rock climbing VR game.

Kevin held the position of Engineering Team Manager at PayClip Inc. from August 2017 to August 2018, where they led the settlement engineering team. Before that, Davies worked as a Lead Android Developer at Cambeo from April 2017 to August 2017. At TD Williamson, they served as the Team Lead for Automated Data Analysis from November 2013 to September 2016. In this role, they led a team in automating and streamlining the analysis of gas and oil pipeline integrity data, developing a microservices data management system and optimizing analysis services.

Davies began their career at Attensity Corporation, where they held multiple roles. Kevin served as an Applications Team Lead from August 2010 to November 2013, contributing to the architecture of the company's flagship analytics product. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2005 to August 2010, assisting in designing the database schema and creating libraries. Kevin also held the role of Senior Computational Linguist from September 2000 to February 2005, developing natural language processing algorithms and tools for corporate and government customers and conducting training classes.

From 1998 to 2001, Kevin Davies earned a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical Linguistics from the University of Utah.
