The Whalemobile is a dynamic, hands-on marine science education program that brings the ocean to life—literally. At the heart of the experience is "Nile," a 43-foot inflatable humpback whale that students can step inside to explore whale anatomy, biology, and conservation in an unforgettable way. Founded by marine educator Cynde McInnis, The Whalemobile delivers NGSS-aligned programs to schools, libraries, and community centers across the U.S., offering both in-person and virtual formats.

Each session is led by experienced whale watch naturalists who guide participants through interactive lessons on topics like food webs, migration, and human impacts on marine life. Programs are tailored by grade level—from playful role-play for kindergartners to ecosystem modeling and whale tail identification for older students. High school assemblies dive deeper into topics like whale research techniques, conservation technology, and the intersection of marine and human health.

The Whalemobile’s mission is to inspire the next generation of ocean advocates by fostering empathy and curiosity through immersive, science-based storytelling. Whether it's a school-wide event or a virtual classroom visit, The Whalemobile makes marine science accessible, memorable, and impactful.
