The Will Company was formed in 1995 by Stephen Oliver and Tracey Perkins. At the time, Stephen was a Financial Adviser and found it difficult to find a Will writing service that met his needs for his clients. Stephen understood estate protection planning and could deliver good service standards. He wanted to dovetail the Will instruction taking and drafting into his appointment time with his clients and this was sadly lacking in the marketplace.
As full members of the Society of Will Writers & Estate Planning Practitioners, The Will Company has access to some of the widest experience possible and indemnity cover to £2,500,000.

Tracey worked for a local firm of solicitors at the time and between them they decided to study how to draft Wills for their own clients and after 18 months they started to draft Wills. Other Financial Advisers known to Stephen requested he draft Wills for their clients and a business was born that today has over 800 advisers and adviser firms using them.

Stephen stepped out of financial services after 15 years as an adviser in June 2004 to run The Will Company as his main business. He heads the marketing and training side. Tracey has passed ‘with distinction’ the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation (England and Wales). 

The list of services available includes basic Wills, Estate Protection Trust Wills, Severance of Tenancy, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate services, Advance Directives, Lifetime Trusts and document storage.

Their key aim is to provide advisers with a professional service drafting Wills and related documents for their clients, in a timely manner with unlimited free rewrites for clients who store their Wills.
