Blake Paterson is a seasoned journalist with significant experience in political reporting. Currently serving as a Politics and Government Reporter for The Times-Picayune | Nola.com since August 2019, Blake focuses on coverage of Jefferson Parish, the largest parish in Metro New Orleans. Prior roles include State Politics Reporter and Baton Rouge City Hall Reporter for The Associated Press, as well as a street reporter for the New York Post. Blake's early career highlights include an Electionland Reporting Fellowship at ProPublica and an editorial internship at POLITICO. Educational accomplishments include an A.B. in History from Harvard University, where Blake was also a News Executive at The Harvard Crimson. High school education was completed at Cypress Woods High School.
