Andy Newland is a Senior Lecturer and Subject Lead for Physical Education at Liverpool John Moores University since January 2023. With extensive experience in coaching, Newland has served as a Technical Coach for the Women's England Talent Pathway at The Football Association since March 2019 and has previously worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Darland High School from September 2016 to January 2023. Newland's coaching career includes roles as U16s Girls Academy Lead Coach and Foundation Phase Boys Academy Coach at Liverpool Football Club from September 2013 to September 2019, as well as Youth Team U18s Boys Coach at Chester Football Club from February 2013 to June 2015. Currently pursuing a PhD at Liverpool John Moores University, Newland holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Chester and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Physical Education.
