Anthony Kessel

Professor Anthony Kessel is a public health physician, GP, and academic currently serving as the National Deputy Medical Director (Specialised Services) for NHS England. Previously, Anthony held several key roles, including Clinical Director at NHS England and Director of Global Public Health at Public Health England. With a strong emphasis on public health, particularly in mental health and child wellbeing, Anthony is also an Honorary Professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Alongside a notable academic career featuring over 100 publications, Anthony has authored a children's adventure book series, "DON'T DOUBT THE RAINBOW," which promotes mental health resilience among middle-grade readers.
