Youth Development Phase Lead

Kalam Mooniaruck has extensive experience in youth coaching and player development within professional football. Currently serving as the Youth Development Phase Lead at The Football Association since August 2025, Kalam collaborates with coaches and departments to enhance player development across national teams. Previously, Kalam held significant roles at West Ham United FC, including Head of Coaching and Player Development and Head of Academy Coach Development from October 2018 to October 2025. Kalam also worked at The Football Association from November 2011 to October 2018 as an FA Youth Coach Educator, delivering bespoke continuous professional development and courses to coaches nationwide, and managing a team of Skills coaches in Essex, Cambridge, and Huntingdon. Kalam's coaching journey began at The David Beckham Academy as an Assistant Senior Coach from 2005 to 2009. Kalam's educational background includes a PG Diploma in Coach Development from Leeds Beckett University and a PG Cert in Sports Coaching from the same institution.
