Richard McLean

Richard McLean is a barrister specializing in employment, discrimination, and sports law at Exchange Chambers since September 2021. Concurrently, Richard serves as a Judicial Panel Member for The Football Association, chairing regulatory hearings that address on-pitch discipline, discrimination, anti-doping, and intermediary disputes from grassroots to Premier League levels. Previous experience includes roles as a barrister at 1 Chancery Lane Chambers and 33 Bedford Row, as well as positions at the Financial Conduct Authority and The Nursing and Midwifery Council, where responsibilities included presenting fitness to practice matters. Richard also held advisory roles at HM Treasury and the Department for Education, alongside pupil barrister placements.
