Susannah Abbott

Susannah Abbott is an accomplished professional in the fields of education and sports, currently serving as a FA Council Member and Player Engagement Officer at The Football Association, where involvement includes the Women's Talent Pathway and Discover My Talent team. As the Head of Belmont Prep School, Mill Hill since September 2024 and previously a Senior Deputy Head at Queen's College London, Susannah has demonstrated leadership and mentorship, particularly in supporting U16 female international players as an Education Welfare Consultant for The Football Association. A pioneer in education, Susannah was the first female House Master at Harrow School, overseeing the pastoral care of over 70 boys. With an extensive background as an elite football player, including positions at Charlton Athletic, Reading Women’s FC, and QPR FC, Susannah has also contributed to the academic field as a Senior Examiner for Cambridge Assessment International Education, specializing in iGCSE History. Susannah holds multiple degrees from the University of Reading, including a PhD in History.
