Gareth Lowrie has a diverse work experience spanning over different roles and companies. 🧗‍♂️Gareth worked as a Supervisor at JD Sports Fashion plc for six years, where they were responsible for various tasks including reviewing business performance, recruiting and training team members, driving store profitability, and managing overall store operations.

Gareth then moved on to work at Communicator as a Product Operations Analyst, providing technical support to internal and external customers. 🧗‍♂️Gareth also worked as a Front-end Developer, specializing in React.js, and contributed to the development of the company's SaaS offering.

Currently, Gareth is working at Hive HR. 🧗‍♂️Gareth started as a Software Engineer, working on Hive's smart surveying platform and utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React 16, and AWS. 🧗‍♂️Gareth actively participates in training new team members and organizes social events to help shape Hive's culture. 🧗‍♂️Gareth is also part of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion squad, focused on improving diversity within the company.

Gareth's role at Hive HR progressed, and they became a Lead Software Engineer, managing a team of Software Engineers and providing mentorship and support. 🧗‍♂️Gareth also led a squad of engineers on project work throughout the software development life cycle.

Most recently, Gareth assumed the position of Deputy Head of Engineering at Hive HR. In this role, they champichampionitive culture and working environment within the department. 🧗‍♂️Gareth is jointly responsible for the Engineering department and contributes to the technical strategy across the Hive product. 🧗‍♂️Gareth collaborates with counterparts throughout the business to plan and deliver business value.

Gareth Lowrie's education history starts with their A Level degree at Whickham School & Sports College, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. 🧗‍♂️Gareth then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Forensics BSc at Northumbria University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. During their time at Northumbria, Gareth also had the opportunity to study abroad at VIA University College in Horsens, Denmark, as part of the Erasmus program, from 2014 to 2015.

Following their undergraduate studies, Gareth obtained additional certifications. In 2013, they completed the CCNA 1 Exploration 4.0 certification program offered by Cisco. In July 2016, they were awarded the Accenture Best Undergraduate Computing Student recognition by Accenture.

Recently, in 2022, Gareth attended Gateshead College to pursue a Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, demonstrating their interest in mental health counseling and counseling.
