Abdbasit Saba

Abdbasit Saba is a dedicated social development practitioner with a strong focus on sustainability, public service, and youth inclusion. Currently serving as the Country Representative for Nigeria at the Commonwealth Youth Council, Abdbasit amplifies youth voices in governance and policy discussions. Abdbasit has held various roles, including Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor, where they contributed to intergovernmental relations and climate-conscious economic growth. As a Global Youth Ambassador and a United Nations Academic Impact Fellow, Abdbasit advocates for education, climate action, and youth participation in decision-making. They also founded the Climate and Environt Project, fostering community-driven climate discussions, and launched the SDG Explorer Initiative, which connects global sustainability goals with local realities. Abdbasit is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at Lagos State University, expected to graduate in 2024.
