Kayla Gordon

Kayla Gordon's work experience includes a role as a Substitute Child Care Teacher at The Learning Experience, where they ensured a clean and healthy environment for children and implemented engaging activities to promote their social and cognitive growth. Kayla also worked as a Member Services Specialist 1 at United Teletech Financial FCU, performing various teller transactions and providing assistance with account inquiries. As a BSW Intern at Catholic Charities USA, they provided trauma-informed care services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Additionally, they worked as a Dietary Aide at Monmouth Medical Center, where they recorded food distribution and maintained a clean and sanitized kitchen. Another internship role they held was at Affordable Housing Alliance, where they processed paperwork for clients and assisted with the application process for assistance programs. Prior to their internships, they worked as a Sales Lead at Things Remembered, where they utilized selling techniques, trained new associates, and demonstrated product knowledge to customers.

Kayla Gordon began their education journey in 2017 at Brookdale Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology. Kayla studied at Brookdale until 2020, when they transferred to Georgian Court University. At Georgian Court, Kayla completed their Bachelor's degree in Social Work, which they obtained in 2023. Kayla then continued their education at Rutgers | School of Graduate Studies from 2023 to 2024, where they earned a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in Clinical/Medical Social Work.
