Aaron Walker is an Advisor at LiftEd. Aaron previously worked as a Portfolio Director at The Fund for Public Schools, where they helped to raise $30 million in private investment for school reform for the NYC DOE. Prior to that, they were an attorney at Allen & Overy, advising large corporations on contracts, intellectual property, insurance and federal securities laws that resulted in clients’ closing $100M+ acquisitions, spinoffs and joint ventures. Aaron also interned at Teach for America in their Legal Affairs department, advising General Counsel and senior leaders on state and federal laws for key initiatives that resulted in: creation of pilot international student program, changes in interview process for disabled candidates and strategies for teacher placements in two states. Before their work in education reform, they were a 9th grade English teacher with Teach for America.
Aaron Walker has a Doctor of Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
