John Gelder is the Head of Content Development and Sustainability at NBS/RIBA Enterprises, a position held since 2000. Previously, they served as Chief Editor at NATSPEC from 1992 to 1997 and coordinated the Certificate in Architectural Practice at Newcastle University between 2001 and 2008. John Gelder holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from the University of Adelaide and a post-graduate certificate in RIBA Part 3 from the Polytechnic of Central London.
