John Stark has worked in the software development field since 1998. John started their career as an Engineer at Roke Manor Research, then moved to the National Oceanography Centre as an Applications Programmer. In 2003, they became a Research Scientist at the Met Office, where they developed and evaluated sea surface temperature and sea ice data analysis software for use in weather prediction and climate monitoring. In 2008, John moved to Simpleware Ltd. as a Software Engineer, where they developed and maintained image processing, 3D visualisation and meshing software. In 2010, they joined INRIA Sophia Antipolis, France as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed MedINRIA, a medical image analysis and display application. Finally, in 2013, John became the Head of Software Development at Therapixel.
John Stark attended Corfe Hills School in Dorset, United Kingdom from 1992 to 1994 and achieved A Levels in Physics, Pure Maths, Applied Maths, and Chemistry. John then attended the University of Cambridge from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in Natural Sciences, with a focus in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry.
