Maxime Sermesant has a varied work experience, beginning with a PhD Student role at Epidaure Research Group, INRIA Sophia Antipolis, France in 1999. From 2003 to 2004, they were a Lecturer at King's College London, and an Honorary Research Fellow at University College of London in 2004. In 2005, they became a Research Scientist at INRIA. In 2013, they Co-founded Therapixel, and in 2017 they Co-founded and served as Scientific Advisor at inHEART. Since 2019, they have been the Chair of AI & Biophysics at 3IA Côte d'Azur.
Maxime Sermesant has an extensive education history. Maxime started their studies in 1996 at CentraleSupélec, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Mathematics in 1999. Maxime then moved to Ecole normale supérieure, where they obtained a Master in Mathematics, Vision, and Learning in 1999. In 2003, they received their PhD in Control, Signal and Image Processing from Université Côte d'Azur. As of 2016, they are pursuing an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches at Université Côte d'Azur.
