David Heckler has over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering and quality assurance. In 2021, they began working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at TherapyNotes, LLC. Prior to that, they were an Associate Software Quality Engineer at Amrock from 2020-2021, where they were responsible for planning, creating, and executing automated and manual test cases for new software features being developed on an agile software development team. David also collaborated closely with developers and business to understand new changes and requirements for testing, participated in production emergency bug fixes, and found, isolated, replicated and reported defects. From 2019-2020, they worked as a .NET Developer at Microsoft. From 2016-2017, they worked as an Engineering Programmer Co-op at Ariel Corporation, where they gained experience converting two gas analysis programs totaling 19000 lines of code from FORTRAN into C#, changed production software from using an AS400 database to SQL Server, and converted SQL statements into equivalent Stored procedures to improve security. From 2013-2016, they worked as a Musician at Cedar Creek Church, where they learned and performed songs for five services per weekend and worked as a team member to communicate ideas effectively.
