More than just an EMR solution, our easy-to-use platform helps solo therapists and group practices automate everyday tasks–including clinical note, billing, claims, scheduling and reminders, client intake, telehealth, and more– with features designed to support HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule obligations.

TherapyAppointment began the way many good ideas do—inside a real practice. While building his private practice, our founder, Dr. Bill Whitehead, kept hearing his office manager, Lisa, talk about afternoons lost to tedious admin tasks. He'd think to himself, "I can help solve that" and go into his office to write code to automate the task. 

What started as tools created by a practicing psychologist has grown into one of the longest-standing practice management platforms dedicated exclusively to mental health care. (Lisa is now a partner at TA and leads our Engineering team.)

More than two decades later, that same idea still guides our work: when practices have the right tools behind the scenes, they can focus their time and energy on helping the clients they serve.

Since our beginning, our mission has been the same - to help reduce the stigma associated with mental health and make therapy accessible to anyone who wants it. That’s why we donate a portion of our profits to charities that provide people and families with the valuable resources they need to support their mental health and feel less alone.
