John Barry

Vice President, Global Oncology Strategy at TheraTraQ

John Barry has a long and varied work experience. John began their career in 2007 as a Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Summer Institute (BBSI) Undergraduate Fellow at Clemson University, where they initiated development of antibody-decorated nanoparticles to lower cholesterol. John then returned as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant in 2008, where they organized, lectured, and coordinated three laboratories representing sixty students and spearheaded research focused on controlled release and targeting of nanomedicines aimed at treatment of spinal cord injury and cancer. In 2013, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hershey Medical Center, where they were responsible for developing novel strategies for melanoma treatment and prevention with a team of scientists and clinicians. In 2014, they joined SAI MedPartners LLC, where they held roles as Vice President, Global Oncology Strategy, Senior Director, Director, Associate Director, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Analyst. Finally, in 2019, they became Vice President, Global Oncology Strategy at TheraTraQ.

John Barry attended Clemson University from 2004 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2008 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering in 2013.
