ThermalWinds is a Cyprus-based innovation hub exploring the future of airborne wind energy (AWE), wind-assisted maritime propulsion, offshore renewables, and green finance in the Eastern Mediterranean.

We promote awareness, collaboration, and innovation around kite-powered renewable technologies for commercial shipping, offshore energy, island resilience, and sustainable marine mobility.

Through our Green Finance initiative, we also explore innovative funding models and sustainable investment approaches that can help accelerate the transition to clean energy and climate-focused projects.

Based in Cyprus—a strategic maritime gateway connecting Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa—we aim to connect researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and clean-energy communities shaping the future of renewable energy.
