Thomas Halan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Thomas began their career in the United States Air Force as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, providing support for Operation Enduring Freedom. After leaving the military, they worked as a Field Service Mechanic at Empire Cat, where they repaired Caterpillar equipment and managed work orders and service reports. Following this, they joined Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. as a Project Manager, overseeing QA/QC, managing construction punch lists, and performing commissioning and start-up for multiple units. Thomas then served as a Project Manager at Hunt Oil Company, successfully implementing a $2 billion coking unit revamp project and taking control of document control and drawing revamps.
Halan also worked at Aspen Air Corporation as a Project Engineer, playing a significant role in the design, construction, and turnover of a cryogenic air separation unit. Thomas revamped existing drawings and created new drawings for an expansion unit. Thomas further contributed to the industry as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Rummel Construction, Inc., before assuming the role of Service Manager at Altorfer Inc., where they managed the Power Systems division and supervised a large team of employees.
Currently, Halan works as a Mechanical Designer at 13th Floor Mechanical Designs, where they utilize their expertise in mechanical design.
In 2022, they will begin a new role as a Project Manager I at Thermo Systems, focusing on project management for large-scale data center construction and automation controls for thermal systems.
