Ali Aftab

Ali Aftab has a diverse work experience spanning over the past decade. Ali is currently an Engineering Manager at theScore, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, from May 2022 to January 2023, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Twitter.

Before their time at Twitter, Ali was an Engineering Manager at Jobber from June 2021 to May 2022, where they focused on growth projects. Ali'searlier experience includes working as an Engineering Lead at Flipp from August 2017 to June 2021, where they led multiple teams and was involved in various aspects of Engineering, including coaching, hiring, and collaboration with Product Owners.

Ali's career began in 2010 with an internship at BlackBerry as a Software Test Associate. Ali later worked as a Software Test Specialist at BlackBerry from May 2012 to March 2016. Following that, Ali joined Aeryon Labs Inc as a Senior Test Engineer from March 2016 to August 2017.

Throughout their career, Ali has gained hands-on experience across different tech stacks and divisions, ranging from backend to frontend and data-focused teams. Ali has also been involved in mentoring, code reviews, and implementing processes to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

From 2007 to 2012, Ali Aftab attended McGill University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical Engineering, specifically through the Internship program.
