Jonathan Andrews is an accomplished real estate professional with extensive experience in development and consulting. Currently, Jonathan serves as Principal at JJA Real Estate Consulting and is a Guest Contributor for Thesis Driven. Previous roles include Development at Arch Companies and Senior Associate for Alternative Housing at Nuveen, a TIAA company. Jonathan also held the position of Development Director at Twining Properties and began as an Associate at Ivy Property Advisory. As a co-founder of a co-living startup in Boston, Jonathan has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, Jonathan has contributed as Executive Editor for the Harvard Real Estate Review and gained experience as a Summer Development Associate at both Jonathan Rose Companies and Fifth Avenue Committee. Jonathan holds dual Master’s degrees in Real Estate Development and Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Creative Writing from Purchase College, SUNY.

Thesis Driven
Construction costs, interest rate pressure, secular shifts in demand, and a surplus of capital have made investing in tried-and-true real estate opportunities increasingly difficult. In response, more sponsors are identifying and executing on new concepts that align with emerging trends. This letter series dives deep into emerging themes and real estate operating models and feature a handful of GPs executing on each theme. The deep dives will provide enough context to understand the trend as well as opportunities for personal introductions to relevant GPs actively executing on opportunities.
