Michael Binanzer

Michael Binanzer currently serves as Policy and Performance Manager and Executive Editor for Thieme Chemistry Journals, overseeing publications such as Synfacts, SYNTHESIS, Synlett, and SynOpen since April 2021. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Thieme Chemistry from August 2012 to April 2021, including Scientific Editor and Assistant Scientific Editor, managing journals also including Synfacts, Synlett, and Synthesis. An early experience includes an internship at the German Chemical Society in 2003. Michael Binanzer's academic background includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at ETH Zürich, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol, a Diplom in Chemistry from Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, and a visiting student experience at Montana State University.
