Christopher Kelly is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in the coal sector, currently serving as Principal Mining Engineer at Thiess since September 2025. Previously, as Manager of Planning at Whitehaven Coal, Christopher played a crucial role in strategic mine planning and was instrumental in the $4 billion acquisition of the Blackwater and Daunia mines. With a decade at Jellinbah Mining in various leadership roles, Christopher oversaw long-term planning and contractor compliance while managing a technical services team.
