Josh Burke

Josh Burke is an experienced Project Development Manager currently part of the New Work Australia team at Thiess, focused on initiating a greenfields copper mine in Queensland since August 2022. Prior to this role, Josh served as the Manager of Safety Health Environment Mining at Golding, overseeing safety systems across nine mine sites in Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia. Additional experience includes roles at CRITICAL INPUT providing consultancy services, and a Site Senior Executive at Downer managing operations for the Meandu Mine. Josh's career also encompasses key positions at BHP, where responsibilities ranged from Pre-strip Superintendent to Contract Advisor, and earlier roles at Wesfarmers and T & J Whitehouse Investments. Educational qualifications include studies at CQUniversity from 2010 to 2013.
