Mitchell Dawson is a Senior Mining Engineer at Thiess and is currently an undergraduate in Civil and Mining Engineering at the University of Wollongong, nearing completion of their degree. With a strong commitment to the Australian Mining Industry, they have completed multiple vacation placements with Thiess, gaining hands-on experience in projects involving blast vibration monitoring and mining-specific software such as Vulcan and Deswik. In recognition of their achievements, Mitchell was awarded a Mining Engineering Scholarship from Thiess in 2019 and an AusIMM EEF scholarship in 2020.
