Shaun Yeates

Shaun Yeates is a Principal Mining Engineer at Thiess, where they oversee a team of Mining Engineers and mentor junior staff while managing mine planning and design. Previously, Shaun served as a Senior Mining Engineer and acting Technical Services Manager, contributing to project ramp-ups and the introduction of innovative blasting techniques. Shaun has also held positions at Xstrata Copper, where they managed a team responsible for mine scheduling and costing estimates. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales in 1997.
