Tom Travers

Tom Travers is a Senior Mining Engineer at Thiess, where they have played a key role in the greenfields Coal operation at the Olive Downs Complex since its inception. They specialize in short-term planning and lead a team in mine planning, drill and blast, and autonomy. Previously, Tom served as a Graduate Mining and Geotechnical Engineer and held various leadership roles in the AusIMM Southern Queensland Student Chapter. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Geotechnical Engineering at The University of Queensland, Tom remains passionate about the mining industry and strength training.
