Alexey Solomatin began their career in 2004 as a Programmer at the California Institute of Technology. In 2005 they worked as a Computer Specialist at Desktop Department for Indymac Bank. In 2006 they became a Web Programmer for Halifax. In 2007 they founded and became CEO of Business Information Technology and also worked as Information Technology Director for Baltic Trust. In 2011 they founded and became CEO of Stream Dialog. In 2012 they became Partner of Quattuor Dimensionis and Owner of SMARTAG. Finally, in 2014 they became Head of Product Strategy for Thinglink.

Alexey Solomatin has a diverse educational background. Alexey graduated from South Pasadena Senior High School in 2005 and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from ITMO University, which they completed in 2012. Alexey also obtained a Master's degree in Technology Entrepreneurship from ITMO University in 2014, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from ITMO University in 2015. In 2011, they attended Aalto University as part of the Summer of Startups 2011. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Entrepreneurship Development from CRDF Global in 2012 and First Level of Certification in Compliance with the Requirements of the International TRIZ Association from The International TRIZ Association in 2012.
