Louise Jones

Louise Jones has worked in various roles in the education sector since 2000. Louise began their career as an Education Projects Manager at Portsmouth City Council. Louise then moved to Highland Council in 2005, where they were an ICT Curriculum Liaison Manager and Health Promoting Schools Manager. In 2013, they became the ICT in Learning Manager at Highland Council. In 2015, they joined Think Visual Ltd as the Managing Director | Learning Technologist & Strategist and also became an Apps for Good Ambassador and Expert. In 2017, they were appointed as the UK Regional Manager | Google for Education. In 2021, they became the Co Chair (Scotland) for the Association for Learning Technology. Finally, in 2022 they became a Volunteer for Locate International. Throughout their career, Louise has been responsible for key strategic partnerships, management of communities across social media platforms, case studies and how-to guides, and supporting customers in their own uses.

Louise Jones obtained their BA (Hons) in Community and Youth Studies from the University of Reading between 1995 and 1998. Louise also has several certifications, including the ThingLink Certified Creator Course - Creator from ThingLink (obtained in April 2022), Diversity and Inclusion in Marketing: Inclusive Language for Marketers from LinkedIn (obtained in September 2021), and Staying Positive in the Face of Negativity from LinkedIn (also obtained in September 2021).
