Andrew Markley

Synthetic Biologist at Think Bioscience

Andrew Markley is currently a synthetic biologist at Think Bioscience. Andrew previously worked as an NSF SEES Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they engineered cyanobacteria for improved wastewater bioremediation while producing valuable compounds. Prior to that, they were a graduate student at UCSD, where they studied natural product biosynthesis under Jack Dixon.

Andrew Markley completed their undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a B.S. in Chemistry. Andrew went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry at UC San Diego.
