Think Bioscience
Andrew Markley is currently a synthetic biologist at Think Bioscience. Andrew previously worked as an NSF SEES Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they engineered cyanobacteria for improved wastewater bioremediation while producing valuable compounds. Prior to that, they were a graduate student at UCSD, where they studied natural product biosynthesis under Jack Dixon.
Andrew Markley completed their undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a B.S. in Chemistry. Andrew went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry at UC San Diego.
Think Bioscience
Think Bioscience is reimagining synthetic biology by guiding the design and assembly of better medicines through the use of living systems.
