Joy Min is currently serving as the Interim Director of Professional Development at UCLA Introduction to Data Science since July 2023. With extensive experience in mathematics education, Joy Min has held various roles including Mathematics Teacher at Los Angeles Unified School District from 2005 to 2015, and again from 2021 to 2023, where responsibilities included co-teaching Geometry and Precalculus, as well as serving as Math Department Chair and Drill Team Coach in earlier years. Joy Min also worked as Senior Coordinator of School Transformation, Secondary Math at Partnership for Los Angeles Schools from 2015 to 2021, and is a Board Member of Athenas Women’s Chorus at the Los Angeles Athletic Club since January 2019. Joy Min holds a Master of Education in Administrative Credential and a Master of Education, both from UCLA, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the same institution.

UCLA's Introduction to Data Science (IDS) is the leading national provider of high school data science education materials, professional development, and technological support. IDS is a C-approved mathematics course in the University of California A-G Requirements. IDS directly addressed the Common Core State Standards for High School Statistics & Probability and Practices for Modeling. IDS immediately engages students with real data, introducing statistical, computational, and graphical tools for reasoning about the world. It teaches students to think critically about data in all forms.
