Matt Smith

Matt Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matt started their career as IT Director at Unisoft Systems Inc. in 2006, where they worked until 2011. At that point, they joined Healthism as CTO for a brief period of time.

In 2008, Matt founded Alpha Score Seminars, where they served as the Founder until 2012. Shortly after, they embarked on their next venture as Co-Founder and CTO of Thinkific. Matt self-funded the start of the company and played a crucial role in achieving their first major milestones. Matt led the product development and launch of Thinkific as a self-serve platform, allowing users to create and sell online courses.

In 2014, they also co-founded Later, a popular Instagram marketing platform. As COO and Founder of Later, Matt spearheaded product development, raised significant funding, and implemented successful go-to-market strategies. Under their leadership, Later achieved steady double-digit monthly growth, resulting in over 3 million users and $30 million in annual recurring revenue.

Throughout their career, Matt has displayed strong leadership skills, successfully building and growing teams, managing finances, and driving rapid growth in both start-ups and established organizations. Their strategic vision and technical expertise make him a valuable asset in the tech and entrepreneurial space.

Matt Smith completed a Bachelor of Science degree at The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007. Matt obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft in January 2010.
