Lia Guy is an accomplished technical professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and software engineering. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Thinking Machines Lab since May 2025, Lia previously held a similar position at OpenAI from April 2022 to April 2025. Prior to that role, Lia was a Research Engineer at DeepMind from January 2019 to March 2022, and started a career as a Software Engineer Intern at Google from June 2017 to August 2018.
