Mark Jen is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and product management. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Thinking Machines Lab since March 2025, Mark previously worked at Meta as a Software Engineer. Notably, Mark co-founded Common Networks, where the goal was to improve internet accessibility, and held the position of CTO from January 2016 to December 2020. Other significant roles include being a Sr Engineering Manager at Square, a Founder of Sproutkin, and VP Engineering at Airtime. Mark also served as Director of Engineering at Tagged and Director of Product Management at Plaxo, Inc., while beginning the career at Microsoft as a Program Manager. Mark obtained a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2003.
