thinkingEA.com is based on a broad theory of what Enterprise Architecture really is about in practice, which does include technology, but oh so much more!

philosophy + psychology + context + technology = enterprise architecture

Through a series of blogs we will explore the softer side of Enterprise Architecture as a practice to think about our thinking, which will give us a deeper understanding of our challenges.

“As complexity rises, precise statements lose meaning and meaningful statements lose precision” - Lotfi A. Zadeh

We will also meet with some of the worlds great thinkers via thought provoking quotes that allow us to see that the context may be new, but the challenges really are not.  And we will visit some philosophical concepts often originating many centuries ago that still resonate today, and can help guide us as we face the corporate machinery.

“Water is fluid, soft & yielding but water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield … what is soft is strong.” ― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Starting in 2024 we are joined by some fantastic enterprise architecture thought leaders from around the world who from time to time contribute content. We are also bringing in some challenging thought pieces to get us out of our comfort zone. Please reach out on LinkedIn if you would like to contribute.

I hope you enjoy the content!

Kind regards
