Luis Vasquez

Luis Vasquez has worked in a variety of roles since 1986. Luis began their career as the Western Regional Sales Development Manager at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, where they managed five department managers and 40 employees responsible for over 90,000 customer accounts in the western United States, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific Rim countries. In 2003, they founded PicoSense Inc. In 2005, they worked as a Project Consultant at Morgan Stanley, where they developed financial analysis content for ModelWare and wrote definitions for over 2,000 metrics. In 2007, they worked as a Project Consultant at XBRL US, Inc., where they were part of the team from that created the US GAAP Taxonomy on contract with U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission. From 2004 to 2018, they served as the Vice President of Entrepreneurship and LaunchPad SBDC Director at OCTANe, where they developed LaunchPad's data-driven evaluation process and helped over 114 companies raise more than $300,000,000. In 2013, they served as the Vice President of Investor Relations at the Big Data Enterprise Software Incubator. From 2018 to present, they have worked as a Director of Operations and Consultant at ThinkIQ, an Associate Director of Venture Collaboration at UCI Beall Applied Innovation @ the Cove, a Consultant at OspreyData, Inc., and an Advisor of Business Development at Miramar Venture Partners.

Luis Vasquez obtained their MBA in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business in 2004. Luis obtained their BS in Administrative Studies from the University of California, Riverside in 1986.
