William Green

William Green is the Director of the MIT Energy Initiative and the Hoyt C. Hottel Professor at the MIT Department of Chemical Engineering. Since joining the MIT faculty in 1997, William has focused on developing predictive methodologies in Chemical Kinetics, leveraging Machine Learning to enhance reaction predictions and optimize chemical processes. As a co-founder of Thiozen, a start-up dedicated to clean hydrogen production from toxic waste, William also boasts significant contributions to academia and research, including awards from the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. William has served in various roles, including as Executive Officer of the MIT Department of Chemical Engineering and editor for the International Journal of Chemical Kinetics.
