John Monroe

John Monroe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in immunology, drug discovery, and clinical development. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Related Sciences and Vilya, and as a Scientific Advisory Board Member at AnaptysBio, John also provides consulting services at Third Rock Ventures. Previously, John held the position of Senior Scientific Advisor at Rheos Medicines and Strategic Scientific Advisor at 23andMe Therapeutics. As a Senior Director at Genentech, John was responsible for target discovery and patient selection strategies in various therapeutic areas. John’s academic background includes leadership roles at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where responsibilities included directing the Cancer Immunology Program and overseeing basic research programs. John earned a PhD in Immunology from Duke University and a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA, along with postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School.
