Michaela McLaughlin's work experience begins in 2012 when they worked as a Business Development Representative Intern at FaceFront Cosmetics. Michaela then joined Nordstrom in 2014, starting as an Assistant Department Manager of Women's Core Departments. Michaela was later promoted to Department Manager of TBD/Dresses, where they managed a $2.6M department and exceeded volume and productivity goals. In 2016, they were promoted again to Department Manager of Men's Apparel, where they managed a $5M department and a team of salespeople and assistant sales managers. Michaela consistently surpassed sales targets and was recognized as the top sales manager for multiple quarters. Michaela joined ThirdChannel in 2018, initially as a Customer Success Manager and was recently promoted to Senior Account Manager.

From 2009 to 2013, Michaela McLaughlin attended the University of Richmond and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. During their time at the university, their field of study was Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing.
