Guy Lafferty is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in private equity and philanthropy. Currently serving as Partner and Chief Investment Officer at ThirdWay Africa Partners since January 2016, Lafferty focuses on a novel investment paradigm that integrates economic returns with philanthropic objectives. As the Founder of The Varimi Foundation, established in December 2019, Lafferty is dedicated to educating agricultural communities across Indian Ocean Africa, which constitute up to 70% of the region's population. Previously, Lafferty held significant leadership positions at Rift Valley Corporation from 2001 to 2017, serving as Executive Chairman and Director, and at Gemini Oil & Gas Limited, where Guy was a founding partner. Additionally, Lafferty was a Founder, Partner, and Managing Director at Höegh Capital Partners Limited from 1990 to 2016.
