Laura Ankrum

Laura Ankrum is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in music education and social media coordination. Since December 2015, Laura has served as the Social Media Coordinator at Thirsties, Inc., while also contributing to First Time Mom Blog as a writer since August 2013. Prior roles include Elementary Music Teacher and Band Director at Derby Academy from August 2009 to June 2013 and a long-term substitute for elementary music at Cambridge Public Schools from October 2008 to June 2009. Laura's background also includes a position as Worship Arts Assistant at Parkview Church from May 2007 to January 2008. Laura holds a Kodály Certification from the New England Conservatory of Music (2009-2011) and a Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance and Music Education from the University of Iowa (2003-2008).
